About Me

Island Holidays Plus – the new name for Island Holidays – offers special interest holidays all over the world. We started in 1987, at which time our only destination was the Falklands. Over the years more and more islands were offered, and we spread our range of interest from purely natural history to painting, to history and archaeology and even to wind and watermills!

Eventually it became obvious that, although there are more islands than can be counted, our regulars also wanted to visit continental destinations and so now we offer a wide variety from the Galapagos to South Africa, from St Helena to San Francisco.

We’re a small, personally run company. My name’s Libby and I’ve been in since the beginning; in the office we have Karon who’s been with us 12 years on and off (off to bring Shane into the world) and Norma who joined in the summer and is still suffering shell shock! In addition we have a team of superb tour leaders, all professionals in their own field and, equally importantly, great people with whom to travel.
