It might be only 10 February, but nobody told the birds that it's still the middle of winter. For the past three days the Greater Spotted Woodpecker has been drumming like mad; I hate to think what state his bill will be in by April if he keeps going at this rate! The sun in shining (temperature minus one but never mind) and the birds are singing their hearts out.
It's lovely having an office in the middle of the woods and lots of windows. The sun in streaming in (saving on electricity in lighting) and you can hear the birds outside. A lovely Brown Hare was bouncing around outside the window yesterday and we often get Roe Deer within touching distance. Shame about the work!
We got three bookings for the Falkland Islands trip in January 2007 and that is now fully booked. Still space in November though and we're even taking reservations for January 2008. It's frightening how fast time goes - the deadline for the 2007 brochure will be here before we know it. Better get on - blogging beats booking flights, but flights need to be booked!
