If you think life as a tour operator is a breeze with lots of "free" travel and not a care in the world, think again!
An airline (which shall remain nameless) denied all knowledge of a reservation made almost six months ago for six business class seats for a long haul destination. They didn't answer emails and were always on voice mail for literally months. Eventually, one week before travel, we managed to get seats but had to change the departure airport. The client concerned (who had bought all the seats) has been amazingly gracious about it and all is well, but it's been a bit nerve-racking.
Meanwhile Shane (Karon's wee boy) woke up in the middle of the night really sick and he's going to be off school for a few days so we're a bit short-staffed as well. His granny is stepping in to watch him tomorrow morning - thank you Lena!
