The post has just arrived containing a very stern letter from the Civil Aviation Authority who control the ATOL licence which is essential to my business (ATOL stands for Air Travel Organiser Licence) saying that my quarterly return is two weeks late and explaining (as if to a child) why I'm meant to do it.
Now I know all about quarterly returns - I've been doing them since the inception of ATOL in the year dot and have never once been late before. The truth is I clean forgot about it over New Year and then went off on the mega-trip and the return slipped through a crack in the floorboards. Oh dear.
Guess what I'm going to spend this Saturday morning doing!
