Where does the time go? No sooner have I got the washing done than it's time to pack again. First of all I'll need to wash the suitcase - the shampoo leaked (in spite of being in a polybag). Grrr.
It's been a hectic few days with masses of desk work. I got the North Cyprus tour report out over the weekend but it took ages to get the photos in - I think they must have been too big and I haven't worked out how to change that. Technology is wonderful once you've got the hang of it but the learning process is time consuming.
So tomorrow I leave for Italy: the tour doesn't go out until Thursday morning but too many overnights at London airport hotels is the penalty I pay for living in such a beautiful spot. My home is in Comrie in Perthshire (Scotland), where the fertile plains suddenly erupt into beautiful mountains. Sadly the village is losing its identity a bit with lots of new houses and people taking their kids to school in 4 x 4's - even when they live less than half a mile from the school! It's all getting a bit surburban but nothing can detract from the beauty of the area. This old bridge (which I cross to get to the village or the main road) is over 200 years old. Stand there long enough on a summer evening and you'll very likely see the resident Kingfisher shoot past. However right now there's no time to stand and stare so I'd better get back to work!
