My dear friends and neighbours are by the bedside of their daughter, Jenny, who has had her second major brain operation in three years. She's an amazingly courageous woman, is Jenny, and is determined to finish her second degree - in dentistry. The only problem is that they got a new puppy a few weeks ago and Molly is a bit hyperactive! She's actually gorgeous - a beautiful English Springer Spaniel aged 14 weeks. Right now she's asleep for the first time in two hours which allows me to get on with a bit of work. Toby is being very patient!
As always when I get back from a trip, the in-box is frighteningly full and, of course, the brochure deadline draws ever nearer. I'm off again a week today - this time to Orkney for 10 days leading our tour. I've spent the past couple of hours either saying "No Molly" or putting together my notes for what is quite a demanding tour in terms of organisation. It will be worth it - it's always a joy to return to Orkney and meet up with my many friends there as well as sharing the beautiful islands with my clients.
Better get on with it. I was going to take a photo of Molly for you but really need to get on with the "real work".
