Steam Boats

Now I've often told you about the 7 1/4 inch gauge railway out the back of my house but the passion of these people for steam doesn't stop there. And so it is that you find me scribbling a quick blog just before leaving for Loch Katrine where I will spend the day on a steam boat, slurping G & Ts and generally having a wonderfully relaxing day. Don't worry - I won't be driving and that's a treat for me as well. Of course I SHOULD be working all day 'cos I'm off to The Azores on Thursday with a group and much remains to be done before I leave. Not to worry - a girl has to have fun as well. I honestly don't understand why time goes so fast. Blink and you miss it. It's over a week since Johnnie went home and less than 50 weeks till next year's Bird Fair! I just wish it would slow down a bit to give me time to catch it up. Can you believe we'll be in to September on Monday? What happened to January-August? And anyone who knows what happened to summer this year could make a fortune - especially if they could ensure it never happened again! Anyway - I hear the car coming up the drive so I'd better go and swing my rucksack on to my back and head off.
