What a lazy time! Apart from Saturday morning I did absolutely no work at all for the entire weekend (unless you count ironing, washing up, cooking, entertaining etc)and it was great. It was one of those glorious weekends when the weather was perfect for early autumn, a time of year when the colours are beginning to be rather splendid and there's a clarity of light which shows all the contrasts in the landscape. I'm incredibly lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world and days like Saturday and yesterday remind me that having to get flights to Stansted or Heathrow or wherever for most of the tours I'm leading is a small price to pay. Yesterday on my walk I met a family who've recently moved to the village and it was rerfreshing to look at the surroundings through their eyes.
Now it's back to the desk with a busy week ahead and Karon on holiday. She's away off for some sun to set her up for the winter. It's not just work that's going to be hectic - the old social life is a bit active just now too. Having had lunch with friends in Perth yesterday, I did supper for a neighbour's mother who's house sitting while they're in Slovakia. Tonight other neighbours are coming for a meal and then it will be mother again on Wednesday (staying on your own in someone else's house isn't much fun). On Thursday another friend has her 50th birthday so I'm doing a small dinner party for her, her family and some friends before charging off to Glasgow on Friday to see Mumford & Sons doing a gig and hopefully get supper with my wee rock star nephew. In fact just writing it down makes me want to go for a rest! No peace for the wicked!
A good weekend mean for me moving with my family to foreign country's.Like last time we have gone to Dubai holidays and trust me that was really wonderful.
